Another point to consider is the state of its retention spring, since it must have the correct force for the ridge not to return to its original position.

Since this part is subject to constant movement with a load of weight, we check the following points in order to know if it works well:

• That the springs and screws are in good condition.
• That it doesn't have slack in the anchor bolts to the frame.
